  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.13 cup Sugar
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the moong dal for 2 hours. Drain the water and grind it into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat milk and bring it to a boil. Simmer the milk on low heat until it reduces to half.
  • STEP 3.Add the moong dal paste to the milk and cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • STEP 4.Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands to the mixture. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
  • STEP 5.Remove from heat and let the mixture cool down completely. Pour the mixture into kulfi molds or small cups.
  • STEP 6.Cover the molds with aluminum foil or lids and freeze for at least 6-8 hours or overnight.
  • STEP 7.To serve, remove the kulfi from the molds by running them under warm water for a few seconds. Serve chilled.
