  • STEP 1.Soak moong dal for 4-5 hours and grind it into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger paste, and green chili paste to the batter.
  • STEP 3.Grease a dhokla plate or a steamer tray and pour the batter into it.
  • STEP 4.Steam the batter for 15-20 minutes or until it is cooked and firm.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies for tempering.
  • STEP 6.Pour the tempering over the steamed dhokla and let it rest for a few minutes.
