It's an exceptional bitter dish"Monohora korola". It's a such type of Bengali dish that is about to going lost. This dish goes well with plain rice as a healthy starter.
STEP 1.1 .Red lentil(musurdal ) paste should be beaten with a little bit salt , make small pokoda and fry in oil.
STEP 2.2. The pieces of korola(bitter melon) should be deep try in same oil .
STEP 3.3. Now add a little oil in this same pan and fry a dried chili , Fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds.
STEP 4.4. poppy seeds paste should be mixed with salt and water and add into the pan .
STEP 5.5. Stir it for few seconds and add ginger paste.
STEP 6.6. We have to stir continuosly,when the ginger paste catch smell is gone ,add little water and add fried korola.
STEP 7.7.when the cooking will boil , you have to add the dal pokodas and green chilies.
STEP 8.8. If it is a little thick ,it will be taken down . "Monohora korola" is ready to eat with plain rice. It should be a unique traditional starter of Bengali lunch .
