Ingredients for Mochar Chop-Banana Flower Appetizer #BSK Recipe

  • 37.50 g Boiled potato
  • 1/2 Cups Chopped Florets of Mocha
  • 0.13 Cups Chopped onion
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger paste
  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic paste
  • 1/4 Tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 Pieces green chilies
  • 1/2 Tsp Dry rosted spices in powdered form
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 Litre Refined oil
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Corn flour
  • 1 Cups water
  • 1/2 Cups Breadcrumbs

Directions: Mochar Chop-banana Flower Appetizer #bsk Recipe

  • STEP 1.Clean the banana flower by removing the hard stick and a plastic like transparent part of each florets and then finely chop the florets. Finely chop the the onion, green chilli and coriander leaves and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Trasfer banaan flowers into pressure cooker and add 3 cups water, 1 tsp salt and mix it, cook it in medium flame till 3 whistle s and then allow cooker to release pressure. Take off the lid of the cooker and strain the mocha with the help of a stainer, wash it with sone cold water to cool down
  • STEP 3.Mash the mocha with hands, but dont use blender or over mush it will smooth, keep it aside.
  • STEP 4.Wash 2-3 potatoes and put them in the pressure cooker with enough water, close the lid of the cooker and cook them over flame till 2 whistles , switch off the flame and allow the pressure cooker to release pressure. Let the potatoes cool down till touchable and peek the skin off.
  • STEP 5.Put a pan on flame and allow it to become dry, add 2 tsp chopped coconut,1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste, 1/2 tsp green chili and let them crackle
  • STEP 6.Add the boiled banana flowers and potatoes into the pan and mix it well, cook it in medium flame for couple of minutes. Stir it between, add 1/2 tsp bhaja masala powder, add roasted peanuts into the pan and mix it well
  • STEP 7.Take a bowl and add 4 tsp cornflour into it, add 1/2 cup water and make a thin batter for the coating of the mochar chop.
  • STEP 8.Dip the shaped chop into the batter and roll it on breadcrumbs and coat it evenly, reapet the process again, it makes chop crunchier after frying.
  • STEP 9.Put a deep pan on flame and allow it to become completely dry, then add enough oil to deep fry, add the mochar chop into oil and fry them evenly till crispy and golden brown in colour
  • STEP 10.Serve with a chutney or tomato ketchup
