Ingredients for Mixed dal Recipe

  • As required Ingredients
  • 1/2 nos Chopped onion -
  • 1/2 nos Chopped tomato -
  • 1 nos Chopped Green chilli -
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chopped ginger -
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green Garlic paste -
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric -
  • 0.13 teaspoon Gur/Jaggery -
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder -
  • 0.38 nos Kadi patta/Curry leaves - leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil -
  • 0.13 teaspoon Mustard seeds -
  • As required salt to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing -
  • 1/2 cup Mixed Lentils/dal -

Directions: Mixed Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl add all dals of your choice.Wash and keep them aside for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
  • STEP 3.In a pan add oil and heat it. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  • STEP 4.Add green chilli, ginger, kadi patta and green garlic paste. Saute for a few seconds and add onions and tomatoes.
  • STEP 5.Cover and let it cook till it becomes soft. Add all masalas and salt. Saute for few seconds.
  • STEP 6.Add cooked dal and check the consistency. After one boil, add jaggery.
  • STEP 7.Cover and cook for 1/2 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Your 'Mixed dal' is ready to be served. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
