  • 1/2 cup Chopped Fruits

  • 1/2 teaspoon Panch Phoron
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat oil and add panch phoron (a blend of five spices).
  • STEP 2.Once the spices start to splutter, add chopped fruits and vegetables (such as mango, pineapple, carrot, and green chili).
  • STEP 3.Cook for a few minutes until the fruits and vegetables are slightly tender.
  • STEP 4.In a separate bowl, mix sugar, vinegar, salt, and spices (such as turmeric powder, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder).
  • STEP 5.Add the sugar mixture to the pan and cook until the syrup thickens.
  • STEP 6.Remove from heat and let the Misti Achar cool.
  • STEP 7.Transfer the pickle to a sterilized jar and store in a cool, dry place for at least a week before consuming.
  • STEP 8.Serve the Misti Achar as a condiment or side dish with your favorite meals.
