Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the raw mangoes. Cut them into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl, mix the mango pieces with salt and turmeric powder. Set aside for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat mustard oil and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 4.Add red chili powder and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooled spice mixture to the mango pieces and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Transfer the pickle to a clean, dry jar and pour mustard oil over it.
  • STEP 7.Cover the jar with a tight lid and let the pickle marinate for a few days before serving.
