A stir fried noodles prepared along with prawns,pak choi and other seasoning ingredients.Mie Goreng (or Mee Goreng) is an Indonesian noodle dish that’s also found in Malaysia and other parts of South East Asia. With a sticky, savoury sweet sauce, noodles are tossed with chicken, prawns, vegetables and signature egg ribbons. A street food favourite!

Ingredients for Mie Goreng Recipe

  • 5 Nos garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion
  • 1 cup champignon mushroom
  • 3 Nos pak choi
  • 1 Nos scallion
  • 1 Nos chilli peppers
  • 3 Nos yellow noodles
  • 2 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 Nos egg
  • 1 cup prawns
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1/5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/5 teaspoon White Pepper

step 1

  • STEP 1.Mince garlic

step 2

  • STEP 2.Chop the leaves of pak choi

step 3

  • STEP 3.Slice mushrooms,scallions,onions and chillies lengthwise

step 4

  • STEP 4.Boil noodles in a pot until soft

step 6

  • STEP 1.heat margarine in a pan over high heat

step 7

  • STEP 1.then add onion,garlic and cook for 20 secs

step 8

  • STEP 1.add egg and stir until it is cooked

step 9

  • STEP 1.add prawns and toss for a minute or so until they turn pinkish in colour

step 10

  • STEP 1.now add soy sauce,fish sauce and oyster sauce saute for another 2 minutes and add mushrooms

step 11

  • STEP 1.lastly add boiled noodles,pak choi,scallions,cayenne peppers and sweet soy sauce.

step 12

  • STEP 1.mix all the ingredients thoroughly and season with salt and pepper(optional)

step 13

  • STEP 1.serve hot with a sunny side up egg(optional)
