Udad daal vada is always fav.I have given just innovative touch to it to enhance its taste n nutritional value! My innovation is with fresh methi leaves,it tastes awesome,enjoy it.
Ingredients for Methi stuffed daal vada innovative Recipe
1 Cups Soaked urad daal
1 Cup Methi leaves chopped
1 Tbsp besan Roasted
0.33 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
0.67 Tbsp red chilli powder
0.33 Tsp Garam masala powder
0.67 Tsp Turmeric powder
As required Salt for taste
0.33 Tsp Cumin seeds
83.33 g Oil
Directions: Methi Stuffed Daal Vada Innovative Recipe
STEP 1.First wash urad daal,make fine paste in mixer,add 1 tbsp red chilli powder,1TSP turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste mix well keep aside.Donot add salt now.salt should be added at time of making vadas otherwise the mixture will become too much soft and can't stuff vadas neatly.
STEP 2.Now heat 2 TSP oil add cumin seeds when splutters ,slow the flame ,add 1tbsp red chilli powder,1TSP turmeric powder,1TSP garam masala,mix well,add chopped n washed methi leaves, now add salt,mix well ,Cook till becomes dry Now add roasted besan, mix well ,Cook on slow flame with lid,stir inbetween ,Cook till the mixture starts leaving the kadahi,take it down,stuffing is ready.Let it cool and make small balls of stuffing.
STEP 3.Now take the grinded urad daal ,add salt as required ,mix well for five minutes,take a ball of paste ,spread with fingers ,put the stuffing ball in middle,close vada from all sides neatly. ,
STEP 4.Heat oil on medium flame drop the stuffed vada in oil,,deep fry neatly from all sides first on medium flame then on slow flame. Make all vadas stuffed n deep fried like this. These vadas are vry tasty ,no need of chutney or sauce,enjoy the original taste of methi.
