STEP 1.Wash & soak rice for about 30 mints.Bring 4 cups of water to a boil & add the rice.
STEP 2.Cooked until the rice is done to a grainy texture & not mushy .
STEP 3.Transfer it to another strainer to cool completely.
STEP 4.Pour oil into a wok or kadai.Add cumin, green chillies, green cardamom & chopped garlics.
STEP 5.Saute garlic until nice aroma comes out ,add green peas & chopped methi leaves wilt off.
STEP 6.I prefer not to over fry & like to cook it uncovered ,so they retain the flavours ,colours & nutrients.
STEP 7.Add the rice, sprinkle salt, garam masala powder & mix everything well(use scoop & lift method).Add some lemon juice .
STEP 8.Serve the healthy ,delicious methi rice with papad & raita.Enjoy.
