  • 1/4 bunch Fresh Fenugreek Leaves, Chopped
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Green Chilies, Slit

  • 0.13 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • pinch A Pinch Of Asafoetida
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies to the cooker.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the cooker.
  • STEP 5.Add the soaked moong dal and fenugreek leaves to the cooker.
  • STEP 6.Add water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 7.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and mix well.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
