STEP 2.2. Heat cooking oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add black pepper seeds, cloves, cinnamom and bay leaf and saute for 1 minute.
STEP 3.3. Put finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown colour.
STEP 4.4. Add grated tomato and saute for 1 minute.
STEP 5.5. Add chopped methi leaves and peas and cook for 5 minutes on low flame till oil leaves the sides.
STEP 6.6. Now add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and mix well.
STEP 7.7. Add rice and mix well and saute for 1 minute.
STEP 8.8. Add water and place the lid and cook till 2 whistles. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
STEP 9.9. Serve hot with raita and pickle.
