Methi Thepla is a famous recipe of Gujarat but now it is famous all over the country. Healthy Gujrati Methi Thepla is a very good diabetic snack and a great recipe for kids tiffins and travel as well.
STEP 1.In a large vessel take 1 cup wheat flour, gram flour, fenugreek leaves, curd, red chili powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, grated ginger, finely chopped green chili, sesame, carom seeds, 1 tablespoon oil, salt, sugar and mix well. Mix. Now add fenugreek leaves, now add water as required and knead soft dough (like roti dough). Grease the dough with 1 tsp oil.
STEP 2.Cover the dough with a clean cloth or a plate and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 3.Now take a large lemon sized ball from the dough, roll it a little, apply some oil or ghee and sprinkle a little dry flour, this will make the paratha puffy and soft. close the paratha from all sides and roll this dough in the shape of paratha.
STEP 4.Now on a hot tawa place the rolled paratha and cook for a minute. when the base is partly cooked, flip the masala paratha.
STEP 5.Also, spread little oil / ghee and press slightly both the sides. flip again once or twice till both the sides are cooked properly.
STEP 6.Hot healthy Methi Thepla is ready. Serve it in breakfast with any type of chutney, pickle and curd.
