Ingredients for MATAR PULAO Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Gobind bhog rice
  • 1/4 Cup Matar
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped onion
  • 1/2 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Pieces reen cardamom
  • 1/2 Pieces Black cardamom
  • 1 Pieces Cloves
  • 1.50 Pieces Whole black pepper
  • 1/2 Inch Cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 0.13 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 Pieces Star anise
  • 1 Tbsp Clarified butter
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Kewara water
  • 0.13 Tsp Saffron food color

Directions: Matar Pulao Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat clarified butter in a pan and deep fry the onion and take off.
  • STEP 2.Now again heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan add ginger garlic paste and saute for few mins
  • STEP 3.Add whole garam masala to crackle.
  • STEP 4.Now add matar and and saute for 4 - 5 mins. add coriander powder,turmeric ppowder and mix well
  • STEP 5.Add rice and salt and two cup of water.
  • STEP 6.Once boiled,simmer the gas and cover it.
  • STEP 7.Kewra water mix into the saffron food color and add it
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fried onion and coriander leaves and serve hot.
