Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the dried white peas overnight or for at least 6-8 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the soaked peas and rinse them well.
  • STEP 3.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked peas, water, salt, and turmeric powder. Cook for 3-4 whistles or until the peas are tender.

Cooking Tips

  • You can add a pinch of baking soda while cooking the peas to make them softer.
