 A mushroom curry prepared with all essential spices.This Mushroom Masala recipe is an easy, delicious Punjabi style one-pot mushroom Curry made with white button mushrooms in a spiced onion-tomato gravy. Though we have made the curry in a pan, I also cover Instant Pot instructions after my step-by-step guide below and in the recipe card.

Ingredients for Masala Mushroom Curry Recipe

  • 200 gram Mushroom
  • 2-3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 No.s Onion
  • 6-8 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 No.s Green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon Kitchen masala
  • 1/2 tablespoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1.50 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi
  • As required Some coriander leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 tablespoon Cream/malai

Directions: Masala Mushroom Curry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Make a paste of-2 tomatoes,1 brown onion(slice it and then deep fry),garlic cloves,ginger,chilli.

  • STEP 2.Cut large pieces of mushroom

  • STEP 3.Prepare a warm water with ¼ tsp turmeric powder

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add mushrooms into the warm water and keep it for 8-10 mins.

    • STEP 5.1.heat oil in a pan

    step 7

    • STEP 6.2.add bayleaf and then the chopped onions

    step 8

    • STEP 7.3.fry onion until it appears golden brown

    step 9

    • STEP 8.4.now add the paste

    • STEP 9.5.add salt to taste

    step 11

    • STEP 10.6.then cover the pan and cook it on flame for 2-3 mins

    step 12

    • STEP 11.7.now add all the masala-kitchen masala, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder,kasuri methi.

    • STEP 12.8. Add adequate amount of water and cook all the masala

    • STEP 13.S well.

    • STEP 14.9.now add mushrooms and mix well

    step 16

    • STEP 15.10.again add little amount of water and cover it for 7-8 mins

    step 17

    • STEP 16.11. Sprinkle handful of coriander leaves

    • STEP 17.12.add garam masala and cream

    step 19

    • STEP 18.13.cover it for 2 mins
