Ingredients for Masala khichadi, one pot meal... Recipe

  • 1/2 cup 1-1/2 cup
  • 0.38 cup Tur dal
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin and mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 As Required Red chillis
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • As Required Curry leaves
  • As Required Corriendor
  • to taste Salt

Directions: Masala Khichadi, One Pot Meal... Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash rice and dal two three times...
  • STEP 2.Drain water.

  • STEP 3.Add oil in cooker on gas. When oil is hot, add cumin and mustard. Then add , red chilli, and asafoetida in it.

  • STEP 4.When it well cracked, add washed rice and dal.
  • STEP 5.Mix it well
  • STEP 6.Now heat water on other side.
  • STEP 7.Add hot water in it.
  • STEP 8.Now add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • STEP 9.Curry leaves and corriendor in it.
  • STEP 10.Mix well it again.
  • STEP 11.Close the lid, and after three whistles, off the gas.

  • STEP 12.When cooker cooled down, khichadi is ready to eat.
