Masala crab is also known as crab curry.Masala crab is a typical Indo-Portuguese dish from Goa, Daman and Diu, a region along the west coast of today's India.It is usually served with white rice.
STEP 1.At first fry the crab marinated with turmaric and salt.Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a saucepan over low heat until shimmering. Add cinamon,bay leaf,cardamom,black pepper,dry red chilli, chopped onion, onion paste.Cook, stirring, unti lightly browned, about 4minutes.
STEP 2.Add ginger and garlic paste, coriander and cumin paste, turmaric powder,salt, green chilli,red chilli powder, kashmiri Red chilli powder,stir well to combine and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, untill the oil separates and starts surfacing.
STEP 3.Add a few drops of water if the paste tends to stick or get roo dry.
STEP 4.Add the crab,cover and cook for 5 minute.Remove lid, stir, and continue to cook for 10 minutes.
STEP 5.Sprinkle with garam masala and serve immediately with rice.
