Mango Mawa rolls are very innovative and unique dessert which can be made easily at home with homemade mawa. In homemade mawa i have given the unique flavour of almonds.
STEP 1.Take mango purée and strain it through a strainer to avoid the chunks/lumps. Take it in a wok and add two tbsp sugar and cook until it starts to get thickens.
STEP 2.Take little amount of purée add to a plate and run it to check the thickness, if it start to leave a thick layer means it’s ready. Now take it out on a greased plate and spread it to a thin layer. Let it cover and dry for 3-4 hrs in sun.
STEP 3.Now take a wok, add ghee,milk, powder sugar and milk powder. Mix well to a smooth texture. Cook it on slow flame for 5-7 mins until it start to get thickens. Now add almond powder and cardamom powder mix well and take out in a bowl. Let it cool.
STEP 4.Now cut the rectangular pieces from the mango sheet carefully when it dry completely. Take lemon size portion out of homemade stuffing (almond khoya) rolls it with greased hands cylindrical and roll the mango sheet over it. Make the all mango rolls like this.
STEP 5.Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios. Serve immediately or you can store them in a air tight container for up to seven days. So here is our very unique mango dessert is ready to go…
