This is authentic, tasty and healthy recipe made up with mango pulp and story about this recipe. When newly wed bride comes home and when guests suddenly comes and when motherinlaw asked her to cook something fast, she made mango in some dal which she knew and everyone loved it. Motherinlaw praised her saying "aaj humari ijjat ka fajeta hone se bacha liya tumne".

Ingredients for Mango Fajeto with steam rice Recipe

  • As Required For Fajeto
  • 75 g Ripe mango pulp (aamras)
  • 1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 0.13 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 Pieces Red chilli
  • As Required Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Asofoetida
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin coriander powder
  • 1 Cups steam rice
  • 1/2 cup Kolum rice
  • To Taste salt as per taste

Directions: Mango Fajeto With Steam Rice Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take any types of mango pulp in a bowl add 2bowl wayer and mix well.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee ina pan tempered mustard seeds cumin seeds fenugreek seeds. Add red chilli asofoetida and curry leaves. Now add mango pulp mixture. And bring one boil. Stir and add red chilli powder grated ginger turmeric powder cumin coriander powder jeggary.And stir cook on a mid. Flame.5-7min. Turn off flame.Lastly add lemon juice and corianderand chopped mango pieces.Fajeto is ready.
  • STEP 3.For steam rice:- Wash and soak rice for 1/2hr. Boil water and add soaked rice add salt ghee and lemon juice. Stir well and cook 10-15min. Arrange in a serving plate.
  • STEP 4.Serve Fajeto. Tasty healthy Indian Comfort food Fajeto with Steam Rice is ready to serve.
