  • 1/4 cup Plain Yogurt
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a blender, blend together ripe mangoes, condensed milk, yogurt, and cardamom until smooth.
  • STEP 2.Pour the mixture into individual ramekins or a baking dish.
  • STEP 3.Cover the ramekins or baking dish with aluminum foil.
  • STEP 4.Place the ramekins or baking dish in a steamer and steam for about 30-40 minutes, or until the bhapa doi is set.
  • STEP 5.Remove from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature.
  • STEP 6.Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with sliced mangoes or chopped nuts before serving.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to use ripe and sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less condensed milk.
  • If you don't have a steamer, you can also bake the bhapa doi in a water bath in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for about 40-50 minutes.
