Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and clean the black nightshade leaves thoroughly.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the washed black nightshade leaves and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add water and bring the saaru to a boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or as a soup.
