  • 0.13 cup Urad Dal
  • 0.06 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak rice and urad dal separately for a few hours.
  • STEP 2.Grind them into a smooth batter and let it ferment overnight.
  • STEP 3.Pour the batter into idli molds and steam for about 10-12 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.

  • Use parboiled rice for a softer texture.
  • Add a pinch of fenugreek seeds while soaking the rice for better fermentation.
