STEP 1.In a mixing bowl take 250 gms of khova add 30 ml of ghee and combine well.
STEP 2.In the mix add 50 ml milk , ½ tsp of baking powder and 1tsp of sugar powder and mix for 6 minutes.
STEP 3.Add 150 gm of maida/refined flour in the mix and prepare a dough.
STEP 4.With the dough make small balls and keep aside.
STEP 5.In a medium flame, heat a pan and add 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups water and let it boil once the sugar is melted and dissolved completely making a syrup add 50 ml of milk and keep aside.
STEP 6.Take a pan and add ghee to deep fry, once the ghee is melted add the prepared dough balls in the ghee and fry till the balls turn brown in appearance.
STEP 7.While removing the balls press them with a ladle to form a flat tikki like shape.
STEP 8.Drop the fried khaja in prepared sugar syrup and let immerse for 30 minutes.
STEP 9.Remove the khaja from the syrup and drain access syrup.
STEP 10.Malai khaja is ready to consume.
