  • 1/4 Carrot, Diced
  • 0.13 cup Green Peas
  • 1/4 Potato, Diced

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, and potatoes. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add soaked rice, lentils, and salt. Mix everything together.
  • STEP 7.Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with raita or yogurt.
