  • STEP 1.Soak the red kidney beans overnight and then pressure cook them until tender.
  • STEP 2.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, and onions. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked kidney beans along with the water they were cooked in. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the flavors meld together.
