  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Marinate the fish in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add onions and cook until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute.
  • STEP 4.Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • STEP 5.Add water and bring the gravy to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Gently add the fried fish to the gravy and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
