Ingredients for Litti chokha Recipe

  • 78.83 teaspoon For Chokha Bartha brinjalchopped garlic lemon juicetomato chopped oniongreen chilli chopped coriander leaves
  • 41.50 teaspoon For Fillingblackflour ( sattu) saltnigella seeds (kalongi)grated gingergreen chilli mustard oil lemon juicethymol seeds (Ajwain) chopped coriander leavespickle masala
  • 84 tablespoon For Doughwhole wheat flour pinch salt mustard oil watergm Ghee

Directions: Litti Chokha Recipe

  • STEP 1.For Litti 1. To prepare dough, mix whole wheat flour, salt, mustard oil and water. Knead dough till medium soft. Rest dough for 15 mins cover with damp cloth to avoid dough trying dry.
  • STEP 2.2. For filling mix sattu flour, salt, kalongi, ginger, green chilli, mustard oil, ajwain, pickle masala, chopped coriander leaves. Add little water to bind all ingredients together.
  • STEP 3.3. Divide dough into small round ball. Roll into puri size.
  • STEP 4.4. Put spoonful of filling in to puri, cover and give small peda shape.
  • STEP 5.5. Apply ghee to litti from all the side. Pre heat tawa, arrange litti on tawa. Bake litti till it turns brown in colour and becomes hard.
  • STEP 6.For Chokha 1. Roast bartha baigan on flame till pulp is soft. Peel of skin and mash baigan.
  • STEP 7.2. Roast tomato on flame till it is soft. Peel of skin and mash tomato.
  • STEP 8.3. Mix mash baigan, tomato, chop garlic, green chillies, onion, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Add salt and mix well.
