Ingredients for Leche Flan Cake Recipe

  • As required For the Leche Flan Layer
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 8 No.s large egg yolks
  • 1.50 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.62 teaspoon Salt
  • As required For the Chiffon Cake Layer
  • 3 No.s large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
  • 3/4 cup castor sugar, divided
  • 0.12 teaspoon cream of tartar

Directions: Leche Flan Cake Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1- heat 1/2 a cup sugar in a pan and let it caramelize.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 - immediately transfer it to the cake pan.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 - swirl and spread the caramel evenly on the base of the pan.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 - in a bowl take egg yolks, condensed milk and evaporated milk.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 - mix everything well and pass through a strainer to get rid of egg pieces to prepare flan mixture.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 - whisk egg white with cream of tartar while gradually adding sugar to the food processor to make meringue

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 - in another bowl add 3 egg yolk and ½ cup sugar, canola oil, vanilla extract, water, flour, salt and meringue and combine everything.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 - keep this leche flan aside.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 - in the cake pan add flan mixture and leche flan.

step 10

  • STEP 10.10 - bake it for 50 minutes at 350 degree f.

step 11

  • STEP 11.11 -run the knife around the edges and take out your dulce de mamón on a plate.
