  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Cloves
  • 1/4 stick Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 0.13 cup Water
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel and chop the bottle gourd into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped bottle gourd and cook until it becomes soft.
  • STEP 4.In a separate bowl, whisk yogurt with water, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 5.Add the yogurt mixture to the cooked bottle gourd and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.In a small pan, heat ghee and add dried fenugreek leaves and cumin seeds.
  • STEP 7.Pour the tempering over the yakhni and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with rice or roti.
