Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak a mixture of lentils including chana dal, urad dal, and moong dal for a few hours.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked lentils with water, turmeric powder, and salt until they are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped onions. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and spices like red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the spices are well combined.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked lentils to the pan and mix well. Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed. Simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
