Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the okra, then cut it into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add the chopped okra and sauté until it becomes crispy and cooked.
  • STEP 4.In a separate bowl, whisk yogurt with salt, turmeric powder, and red chili powder.
  • STEP 5.Add the sautéed okra to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Heat a little oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 7.Pour this tempering over the pachadi and mix well.
  • STEP 8.Serve the ladies finger pachadi as a side dish with rice or roti.
