  • 0.13 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the chickpeas overnight in water. Drain and rinse them before cooking.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked chickpeas, water, and salt. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the chickpeas are tender.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the spices - turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add the cooked chickpeas along with the water from the pressure cooker. Mix everything together and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, naan, or roti.
