Kanafeh is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with shredded filo pastry, or alternatively fine semolina dough, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and typically layered with cheese, or with other ingredients such as clotted cream or nuts. The taste is delicate, creamy, and only subtly sweet. When you want to try a dessert that has pleased palates for generations, nothing hits the spot like kunafa.

Ingredients for Kunafa Recipe

  • 2 cup kataifi / thin seviyan
  • 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.33 cup Double Cream
  • As required To make Sugar Syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.33 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon rose essence

step 1

  • STEP 1.Make the syrup, add sugar during a pan. Add water and let the sugar dissolve within the water and stir well.

  • STEP 1.Once the sweetener reaches the thick consistency (gulab jamun syrup consistency) switch the stove then add the rose essence.

  • STEP 1.Mix kataifi with syrup then divide it into two elements, one is for topping and another half is for the bottom. Take orange coloring and butter to grease the tin.

  • STEP 1.Setting the layer of kunafa with kataifi. Unfold a layer of kataifi while not the syrup. Add the cheese cheese over the kataifi layer. You can add any cheese on the top of kataifi.

  • STEP 1.Apply a skinny layer of cream cheese over the cheese. Also, apply another layer of kataifi while not sweetener and press it slightly.

  • STEP 1.Kunafa formula with syrup, currently adds the remaining syrup over the kunafa. Now, bake it for fifteen minutes concerning a hundred and eighty degrees uranologist.
