Karnataka Style Koli Saaru Recipe is a South Indian style curry made not very spicy and rich chicken gravy that you can serve along with Ragi Mudde or Coconut Milk Rice for lunch or dinner.
STEP 1.Take begdi mirch and coriander seeds in a pan, dry roast, when pleasant smells comes left out from pan and transfer in mixer jar and grind this, Now add chopped tomato in this, again grind this
STEP 2.Transfer this paste in raw chicken pieces add salt and mix well, keep aside
STEP 3.Heat ghee in kadhai and transfer the onion paste in hot ghee and roast till ghee release from walls
STEP 4.In a small pan heat some ghee, add cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves, poppy seeds and finally add grated coconut in this and roast till Coconut nice brown in colour, transfer this in grinding jar to make fine paste
STEP 5.When ghee separated from onion add marinated chicken in this, Saute the chicken on high flame for 3 to 4 minutes
STEP 6.Add grind Coconut paste in this mix well, add some water and salt, cover this and cook chicken on low medium flame for 12 to 15 minutes
STEP 7.When done switch of gas and serve with rice and enjoy this.
