  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Kolhapuri Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.13 cup Tomato Puree
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the mutton pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and salt. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add whole spices like cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Saute for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Then, add the marinated mutton and cook until it changes color.
  • STEP 4.Add Kolhapuri red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates. Then, add water and pressure cook for about 4-5 whistles.
  • STEP 6.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and simmer the curry for a few more minutes until the desired consistency is achieved.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Adjust the amount of Kolhapuri red chili powder according to your spice preference.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a tablespoon of roasted coconut paste to the curry.
  • If you don't have a pressure cooker, you can cook the mutton in a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat until tender.
