Ingredients for Köfte Recipe

  • 500 gram ground meat
  • 1 gram 5 strips/150 lbs string cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1 sea or rock salt
  • 1 tablespoon purple basil
  • 4 handfuls pistachio
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 pinch coarse salt or salt flakes
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 handful roasted kadayif
  • 2 tablespoon kaymak

Directions: Köfte Recipe

  • STEP 1.Set your oven to 200 degrees on grill mode.
  • STEP 2.Make the kofte mixture by putting 500 grams of ground meat in a large bowl.
  • STEP 3.Add 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
  • STEP 4.Baking soda is essential for a perfect kofte mixture.
  • STEP 5.Add half teaspoon of salt.
  • STEP 6.Crumble 1 heaping tablespoon dried purple basil.
  • STEP 7.Add 2 handfuls of chopped pistachios into your mixture.
  • STEP 8.Wait until the meat, and spices are mixed very well.
  • STEP 9.Divide the kofte mixture into 2 balls, one must be slightly larger than the other.
  • STEP 10.Butter your pan abundantly and place the kofte in it.
  • STEP 11.While it’s cooking, chop 2 handfuls of pistachio and mix it
  • STEP 12.Warm the kadayif and pistachio in the pan to enhance the flavors,
  • STEP 13.Then, add 2 pinches of salt flakes and half a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
