  • 0.17 cup Gram Flour
  • 0.08 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine grated cabbage, gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves.
  • STEP 2.Mix well to form a thick batter. If needed, add a little water to adjust the consistency.
  • STEP 3.Grease a steamer plate with oil and spread the batter evenly on it.
  • STEP 4.Steam the batter for about 15-20 minutes or until it is cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Remove the steamed vadi from the steamer and let it cool.
  • STEP 6.Once cooled, cut the vadi into small squares or diamond shapes.
  • STEP 7.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the vadis until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • STEP 8.Remove from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 9.Serve hot as a snack or as a side dish with chutney or sauce.

  • Make sure to squeeze out any excess water from the grated cabbage before mixing it with the other ingredients.
