Directions: Khoya Stuffed Parwal Ki Mithai Recipe
STEP 1.Clean and wash Pointer gourd (Parwal). Peel them. Heat water in the pan..When water starts to boil put these parwals in the water. After 5-6 minutes, switch off the gas, cover with the lid and let them rest for 15 minutes.
STEP 2.Strain all the water from parval. Now cut a parval lengthwise from the center. Remove all the seeds and skin very very carefully. Do the same with all parval.
STEP 3.If this sounds difficult then you can remove all the seeds and skin in the very beginning and then you can boil them in the hot water. Whatever suits you.
STEP 4.Add water and sugar in the different pan and let them boil to form sugar syrup.I was having some leftover green sugar syrup (While making tooti frooti).. so I used it for a better colour.
STEP 5.Put all the parwal in sugar syrup and leave it in for 1 hour to make them sweet.Remove them from the sugar syrup
STEP 6.For filling - add 1 cup milk powder + 1 cup milk and 1 small spoon ghee in a non stick pan. mix them nicely. Now switch on the gas and start making khoya on medium flame.Stir in between.
STEP 7.When it starts thickening then stir continuously.
STEP 8.khoya is ready.Add Chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder and sugar powder if you like this sweeter..Stuff the filling carefully in the parval.
STEP 9.Decorate with more dry fruits. Serve & Enjoy!!
