Ingredients for Kharvas Recipe

  • 2 Litre Colostrum Milk
  • 500 ml -milk (dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 Cup Sugar – ⅓ cup
  • 12 Tsp Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder)

Directions: Kharvas Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix the colostrum milk and regular milk in a large bowl. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • STEP 2.Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish. Cover the dish with aluminium foil to prevent water from entering.
  • STEP 3.Place the dish in a steamer or pressure cooker without the whistle. Steam on medium heat for about 30-40 minutes until it sets. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  • STEP 4.Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for a couple of hours. Garnish with chopped nuts before serving.
