STEP 2.Pressure cook raw rice ,moong dal and salt for 4 whistle. After few minutes open the cooker and mash the rice. Heat ghee, add cashew, broken pepper, cumin seeds, grated ginger and curry leaves. Fry them and add it to the pongal mix and eat with coconut chutney and moong dal sambar.
