Tasty and spicy Karnataka special bisibele bath. The dish is primarily famous in tamil Nadu but can also be seen served in other sisters south indian states.
STEP 1.1. Take a bowl, add a cup of rice and soak in water.

STEP 2.2. Take another pan and roast a bowl of mung dal in it. roast for 5-6 minutes. And then add the mung dal in the bowl with soaked rice. Mix well.

STEP 3.3. Take a pressure cooker and add the soaked ingredients in it. Add 4 cups of water, add a spoon of turmeric powder, salt and oil. Now cover the cooker and put it on steam. Wait for 3 whistles. the rice and dal are ready. add a cup of water to the cooked pongal. Mix well.

STEP 4.1. Take a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil and a tablespoon of ghee in it. Add cumin seeds and let it roast. After the cumin seeds are done, add a spoon of black pepper and roast. then add a pinch of asafoetida and ginget paste, green slit chillies and roast well. Add curry leaves, cashews and make sure not to overfry the ingredients.

STEP 5.2. Now pour the prepared pongal in the pan and mix well. Do not overcook.

STEP 6.The khara pongal is ready to serve.
