Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix gram flour, yogurt, turmeric powder, ginger paste, and salt to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Heat the batter in a non-stick pan over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens.
  • STEP 3.Spread the thickened batter onto a greased surface and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.Cut the cooled batter into thin strips and carefully roll them up to form khandvi rolls.
  • STEP 5.In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies. Once they splutter, pour the tempering over the khandvi rolls.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with grated coconut and fresh coriander leaves.
  • STEP 7.Serve the khandvi rolls with green chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to continuously stir the batter while cooking to prevent lumps.
  • Spread the batter thinly and evenly on the greased surface to achieve the desired texture.
