Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix grated jackfruit, besan, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Shape the mixture into small balls.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the jackfruit koftas until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
  • STEP 3.In another pan, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • STEP 5.Add water and bring to a boil. Then add the fried koftas and simmer for a few minutes until the koftas are cooked through.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve the Kathal Kofta Ki Curry with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to squeeze out any excess water from the grated jackfruit before using it in the kofta mixture.
  • You can add a pinch of baking soda to the kofta mixture to make them more fluffy.
