Ingredients for Kashmiri Style Rista Recipe

  • 800 gram mutton
  • 100-150 gram Mutton Fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3-4 pinch cardamom powder
  • 2 Egg

  • STEP 1.Grind minced mutton along with coriander, green chillies, garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped onions
  • STEP 2.After getting a thick paste, shift it into a plate.
  • STEP 3.Add roasted cumin seeds powder, roasted coriander seeds powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, roasted gram flour, almond powder, cashew nut powder, salt in it
  • STEP 4.Add one egg in the paste.
  • STEP 5.Mix all of it together with the help of your hand.
  • STEP 6.Take ghee in a separate pan, on a low flame.
  • STEP 7.Add fried onions, desiccated coconut, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute.
  • STEP 8.Add water along with yogurt.
  • STEP 9.Add tomato puree to the mixture and saute it again followed by adding some more water & salt
  • STEP 10.Mix it and leave for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 11.Now, to make koftas, take masala mutton paste and make balls out of them
  • STEP 12.Drop these balls into the gravy
  • STEP 13.Cover the pan with lid and let it cook for around 20-25 minutes
  • STEP 14.Once cooked, sprinkle some garam masala powder, green chilli, coriander leaves over it.
  • STEP 15.Cover the mutton koftas again and let it cook for more 2 minutes
