Karahi Gosht is a traditional pakistani recipe made with beef and is loaded with a lot of spices.The Karahi Gosht is slow cooked in a curry that is infused with spices including kala jeera (black cumin seeds), tomatoes and fresh chillies. The dish is garnished with fresh coriander, slivers of fresh ginger and chopped green chillies. Serve with roti, naan or pulao.

Ingredients for Karhi Gosht Recipe

  • 1 cup Oil
  • 2 No.s chopped onions
  • 1 kilogram Beef
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1.50 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 4 No.s chopped tomatoes
  • 1 liter Water
  • 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaver
  • 1 tablespoon kasoori methi
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 7-8 No.s green chillies
  • 3-4 tablespoon curd

Directions: Karhi Gosht Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. in a pan take oil and add onions and fry till they turn golden brown.

step 2

  • STEP 1. now add beef and roast it for 10 minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 1. add ginger garlic paste and roast it till water dries out.

step 4

  • STEP 1.put all the spices in the pan, roast them and mix it well.

step 5

  • STEP 1.5 add tomatoes and cook till they turn soft.

step 6

  • STEP 2.6 now add 1 litre water to the pan, cover the pan and cook at low flame for 35-40 minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 3.7 finally add some coriander leaver, kasoori methi, garam masala. Green chillies and mix everything.

step 8

  • STEP 1. now top with a little curd and cook for five minute.
