Kali dal-today i am going to share with you all traditional himachali kali dal recipe. This dal is must in menu at my mom's place during festive season. Specially on diwali and karvachauth. Usually the dal is served with plain rice. My my family loves to have this delicious dal with missi roti most of the time. Currently i am living in vietnam-hanoi.

  • 1.25 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 Tej patta No
  • 3/4-1 cloves /Laung. No
  • 1/2 Black cardmom /Badi Elaichi. No
  • As required INGREDIENTS FOR MISSI ROTI
  • 1/4 cup Whole wheat flour/Atta
  • 1/4 cup chickpea flour/Besan
  • 1/2 tablespoon Green chilies chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Roasted coriander seeds/Sabut dhaniya crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Carom seeds/Ajwain
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon turmeric powder/Haldi
  • 1/2 tablespoon Thick yogurt curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oil
  • As required Salt
  • 1-1.25 tablespoon Ghee
