  • 1/4 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery, Grated
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • pinch A Pinch Of Salt

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak raw rice in water for 4-5 hours, then drain and grind it into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add grated coconut, jaggery, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 3.Heat a non-stick pan and pour the batter into it. Cover and cook on low heat for about 30-40 minutes, until the cake is cooked through.
  • STEP 4.Once cooked, remove from the pan and let it cool. Cut into pieces and serve.
  • STEP 5.For storage, keep the kalathappam in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • STEP 6.To serve, you can enjoy kalathappam as it is or with a cup of tea or coffee.
