Ingredients for Kakiage Recipe

  • 0.67 cup Gobo, thinly shaved
  • 1/2 cup carrot, thinly cut
  • 1/2 cup brown onion, roughly diced
  • 0.33 cup green beans, thinly cut
  • 6 piece shrimp, cut into small
  • 1-2 tablespoon cake flour
  • pinch Salt
  • As required frying oil
  • As required Mentsuyu
  • As required Tempura batter
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 3 tablespoon Katakuriko or cornstarch
  • 1 cup ice water

Directions: Kakiage Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a bowl put prepared vegetables and shrimp
  • STEP 2.Add cake flour and salt to coat the vegetables
  • STEP 3.In a bowl mix all ingredients of tempura batter and ppour over vegetable mix
  • STEP 4.In a pan heat oil for deep frying
  • STEP 5.Pour a spoonful of vegetable batter into the oil and fry until golden brown
