  • As required For the masala paste, fry and blend

  • 5 gram coriander seeds

  • 1 green cardamoms
  • 1/2 stick Cinnamon
  • 3/4 Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Peppercorns
  • As required For the kadala curry
  • 62.50 gram Bengal gram , soaked for 6 hours and drained
  • 1/4 tablespoon ginger, julienned
  • 1/2 green chillies, slit
  • 3/4 onions, sliced
  • 12.50 gram tomatoes, sliced
  • 0.13 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • As required Salt
  • 3/4 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 0.13 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/4 piece red chilli, broken into 3
  • 1/4 tablespoon coconut flakes
  • 12.50 gram shallots, sliced
  • 1/4 sprig curry leaves
  • As required For the puttu dough
  • 125 gram rice, soaked overnight and dried for 8 hours
  • As required Salt
  • As required Water
  • 0.13 coconut, grated
